5'9" or 6'1"???

So Ellie's pediatrician said she was going to be 6'1". I guess he doubled her height at her 2 yr check up (36 1/4 inches). I completed a height quiz on Babycenter.com and it factors in my height as well as Jason's height. The result was 5'9". I think I like that a little better...I don't want Ellie towering over me :)

So tomorrow I will be 36 weeks and 2 days. That is the day I gave birth to Ellie. We'll see if Abby wants to stay inside a little longer. We are very ready...hospital bags are packed, pack 'n' play is set up, we have family and friends on call to watch Ellie, etc. I'm physically very ready but I like the idea of having a bigger baby...like in the 7 lb. range. We'll see what God has planned...and we will definitely call and email as soon as we can :)

Here's Ellie's Christmas Picture. Everyone has probably seen it by now on our Christmas card.

Picture Session with Carrie

Yes, I've started to blog again. I figure with Abby coming soon, I'll need a place to update family and friends on our new little one.

My friend Carrie takes such wonderful pictures! Ellie was being a bit of a toddler and it was hard to get a lot of her smiling at the camera, but she still captured Ellie's silly personality! Our Christmas card is ordered...and the picture we're using is not one of the ones below...it'll be a surprise.

First Half of February

Here are a few pictures of Ellie from the last couple days.

Ellie likes to remove her bib now, so that means we get a lot of shirts wet and dirty.

Ellie and Daddy before bed. Look at the toothbrush floating in the air!
For Valentine's Day we had some friends over. Emma and Ellie were having so much fun together!

We were playing in the backyard today.

California - Family Reunion & Meeting Sam

Ellie and I flew to San Jose to spend 3 days with family and friends. Our first stop was The Reynolds' house...where she met her Uncle Tim, and her cousins Madeline, Mitchell and Melanie. Ellie and Melanie were very cute together and almost looked like sisters. Melanie did a great job sharing her toys with her little cousin.

The next day we had a family reunion at my Aunt Nancy and Uncle Mike's home. It was so great to see everyone and meet my sister-in-law, Shanna. My brother Rich is adorable with her...they are a great match! It was crazy to see a ring on my big brother's finger. Too bad Jason couldn't be there to complete this picture. Ellie also met a lot of my family for the fist time - Aunt Nancy, Uncle Mike, Aunt Marg, Uncle Jim and my cousins JP and Stephanie. My mom also got to see Ellie for the first time since she was 4 weeks old. Luckily she is coming out for another visit to Frisco in a couple weeks to spend more time with Ellie.
Me, my big sis and big bro. I can't remember the last time the three of us were together. I hope someone got a shot of us with our mom.

This is my cousin Stephanie with Ellie. Aren't they adorable together!!!

On our way home from our family reunion, we were chasing a beautiful rainbow. This was my best shot...it doesn't compare to how amazing it was in person.
Then it was Dianther Panther time!!! I got to spend 24 hours with my oldest and dearest friend and meet her little boy Sam! She has an awesome camera and took a bunch of pictures...these are the few I had on my camera.
Is it too early to let them bathe together? Oh well, it was adorable!

Ellie's First Haircut

Ellie got her first professional haircut before we left for CA. Her hair was starting to look a lot like a mullet, and I know my California friends and family would wonder how "Southern" I've become. Ellie did pretty well. I was holding her during her haircut and she cried a little. But her little bob is very cute!

Christmas in Austin

Ellie loved opening all of her presents from Nana. We only got her one thing - Elmo. She was scared of it at first, but now she enjoys playing with him.

She absolutely loves the Little People flap book. We had to buy her a couple more.

She wore her Christmas dress for about 20 minutes.

Luckily you can't see my beautiful rash that is starting to form. The day after Christmas I had to go to the ER for an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin. It was a very awful experience. :(

Christmas Party 2008

Yes, I am WAAAAAY behind on blogging. But of course I can't skip over Christmas and going to California in January.

We had another great Christmas party with our friends from FBC Frisco. Here are a couple shots...one of all the ladies and all the guys...although the guys didn't cooperate and some were cut out of the picture.

More Arizona Gear

Here is Ellie's newest UofA shirt. We bought it for her in Tucson and we still need to take a family picture with our Wildcat shirts on.

She really is a Wildcat. Too bad out of state tuition will be a billion dollars by the time she goes to college. Daddy thinks she's going to UT.

Ellie Sleeping

I hate to take pictures of Ellie sleeping because I don't want to wake her up. But I had to get proof that she sleeps with her butt in the air. I still LOVE watching her sleep...it never gets old.

Ellie is Starting to Run!

Ellie is becoming a great walker and now she likes to run! It's so cute! I thought she could try on her Daddy's running shoes to see how they fit.

Thanksgiving in Tucson

We had a great time in Tucson! It was wonderful to see our friends from college, show Ellie the UofA campus and spend time with Grandma and Pop Pop! Becky, John and Olivia also came down for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so great to see them as well!

I have to start by showing a picture of Ellie from last Thanksgiving. This is one of our favorite pictures!

Our first stop was Nico's. Here is Ellie with a bunch of hot sauce!

Here's Daddy and Ellie in front of Old Main.

We hung out with friends on Monday and Tuesday night. Here is a shot of all the Dads with the kiddos. It looked like Ellie was having fun keeping up with all of the boys!

We finally got to meet Audrey! She is such a cutie!!

Grandma, Pop Pop and Ellie

Three Generation picture!

Ellie enjoyed the rocking chairs in Grandma and Pop Pop's house.

Ellie loved playing on the bed in the hotels. It was her first hotel experience and she was such a trooper. She even handled the 4 days of 8 plus hours in the car pretty well.

Ellie's First Birthday

We headed down to Austin for Ellie's birthday party bright and early on her birthday. Here are some pictures from the big day!

This was Ellie's free cake. It was pretty big!

Ellie is ready for the cake and showing everyone how she can smile for the camera!

She just played with it, she didn't want to eat it. Too sweet for her!

I forced her to have a taste. I'm such a great mom :)

She got her first basketball hoop and all of the adults probably had more fun playing with it than she did. She just wanted to look at the babies on the box.

Proof that Auntie Sally was there!!!

Halloween

Ok, I know I've been horrible about posting! I have to go back and do Halloween, Ellie's Birthday and Thanksgiving...I just can't skip ahead. So here are a couple of pictures from Halloween. Ellie and I went over to Danni's house to play with Carol, Emma and Cooper. We had them get in their costumes and Ellie was not happy. I think it's because the Chicky head is behind her ear. Oh well. Then after her nap we had a big surprise! I was packing Ellie for our trip to Austin the next day and my sister walked into Ellie's room! I was really excited and happy that Jason and Sally planned this for Ellie and me! I had not seen my big sis since last December!! Craziness! That is the one of the bad parts about living in TX, it's too expensive to fly to CA and too far to drive.

So after the shock wore off, we went trick-or-treating to the neighbors' houses. Ellie had her first Tootsie Pop and threw up a little. I guess she doesn't like sweets as much as her parents. I know the day will come though...

Ellie trying to roll away from picture time while Emma and Cooper patiently wait for her.

Our attempt at using the camera timer :)
