More Arizona Gear

Here is Ellie's newest UofA shirt. We bought it for her in Tucson and we still need to take a family picture with our Wildcat shirts on.

She really is a Wildcat. Too bad out of state tuition will be a billion dollars by the time she goes to college. Daddy thinks she's going to UT.

Ellie Sleeping

I hate to take pictures of Ellie sleeping because I don't want to wake her up. But I had to get proof that she sleeps with her butt in the air. I still LOVE watching her sleep...it never gets old.

Ellie is Starting to Run!

Ellie is becoming a great walker and now she likes to run! It's so cute! I thought she could try on her Daddy's running shoes to see how they fit.

Thanksgiving in Tucson

We had a great time in Tucson! It was wonderful to see our friends from college, show Ellie the UofA campus and spend time with Grandma and Pop Pop! Becky, John and Olivia also came down for Thanksgiving dinner. It was so great to see them as well!

I have to start by showing a picture of Ellie from last Thanksgiving. This is one of our favorite pictures!

Our first stop was Nico's. Here is Ellie with a bunch of hot sauce!

Here's Daddy and Ellie in front of Old Main.

We hung out with friends on Monday and Tuesday night. Here is a shot of all the Dads with the kiddos. It looked like Ellie was having fun keeping up with all of the boys!

We finally got to meet Audrey! She is such a cutie!!

Grandma, Pop Pop and Ellie

Three Generation picture!

Ellie enjoyed the rocking chairs in Grandma and Pop Pop's house.

Ellie loved playing on the bed in the hotels. It was her first hotel experience and she was such a trooper. She even handled the 4 days of 8 plus hours in the car pretty well.

Ellie's First Birthday

We headed down to Austin for Ellie's birthday party bright and early on her birthday. Here are some pictures from the big day!

This was Ellie's free cake. It was pretty big!

Ellie is ready for the cake and showing everyone how she can smile for the camera!

She just played with it, she didn't want to eat it. Too sweet for her!

I forced her to have a taste. I'm such a great mom :)

She got her first basketball hoop and all of the adults probably had more fun playing with it than she did. She just wanted to look at the babies on the box.

Proof that Auntie Sally was there!!!

Halloween

Ok, I know I've been horrible about posting! I have to go back and do Halloween, Ellie's Birthday and Thanksgiving...I just can't skip ahead. So here are a couple of pictures from Halloween. Ellie and I went over to Danni's house to play with Carol, Emma and Cooper. We had them get in their costumes and Ellie was not happy. I think it's because the Chicky head is behind her ear. Oh well. Then after her nap we had a big surprise! I was packing Ellie for our trip to Austin the next day and my sister walked into Ellie's room! I was really excited and happy that Jason and Sally planned this for Ellie and me! I had not seen my big sis since last December!! Craziness! That is the one of the bad parts about living in TX, it's too expensive to fly to CA and too far to drive.

So after the shock wore off, we went trick-or-treating to the neighbors' houses. Ellie had her first Tootsie Pop and threw up a little. I guess she doesn't like sweets as much as her parents. I know the day will come though...

Ellie trying to roll away from picture time while Emma and Cooper patiently wait for her.

Our attempt at using the camera timer :)

Halloween Dress-Rehearsal

Ellie is going to be a Chick-A-Dee for Halloween. I thought she would start crying when I put her costume on, but she really liked it. Hopefully on Halloween we can trick-or-treat at our neighbors' houses before bedtime.

New Shoes

Ellie has taken about 10 steps in a row. We are the target of a lot of teasing because Ellie never has shoes on. So, I thought it was time to get her first pair of shoes. She doesn't like them at first, but after a few minutes she gets used to them.

Our Messy Little Eater

Ellie is going through a phase right now where she prefers to feed herself. Here are some of our favorite post-meal faces. When does she learn to use utensils?

She wanted to feed herself lasagna. But then her face started to itch.

It might be hard to tell, but there is a kernal of corn on her eye lid.

Cat, Duck and Dog

Ellie can say cat, duck and dog! Cat sounds like "gat" or "gac" but she's looking straight at Yodi or Stewie when she says it. Duck comes out pretty clear and so does dog. She usually can mimic us when we say it. She's taken about 5 steps in a row without falling. She is such a joy...I love seeing all these milestones every day!

Ellie's First Step

I don't have a video or pictures to share, but Ellie took her first step on Sunday. Jason and I were sitting on the floor with her and she very carefully stepped forward and stayed up! Yea! She's taken a few steps since then...so cute! I'll try to get something on video.

More Pictures of Ellie

Here are a few pictures of Ellie. She is growing like a weed and doesn't really look like a baby anymore.

Ellie's first Wildcat gear! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Randall!

Ellie had a cold last week so her eyes were teary and her nose was runny. She tried Mac N' Cheese for the first time and loves it!!!
The weather has been so nice this past week! We walk to the park down the street every day. She's getting used to the baby swing...I think she actually likes it now!

I think I might post a poll on what Ellie should be for Holloween! If I can figure out how to do that...look for it in the next week :)

Ellie is 10 Months Old!

Ellie turned 10 months old last Monday...and her first birthday will be here before we know it! Where has the time gone? Here are some things she's interested in lately:
- She knows how to turn on the tub faucet, and talks to her reflection often.
- Her babbling includes "Ga Ga" which we believe is her attempt at saying "Baby Beluga"...one of her favorite books. I've heard her say "all done"... "dog"...."ka" for cat..."go" and a few other words. Even though I know she's just babbling, I still like to try and figure out what she's saying.
- She likes to unroll toilet paper. I think she picked that one up from Stewie.
- She tipped over the house plant that was the last "not baby-proofed" item in our living room. Now it's sitting in our bathtub until I find a better place for it.
- She's really good at eating finger foods...little pieces of green beans, bananas, pears, chicken, etc.
- She is standing on her own for a few seconds at a time and cruising around holding onto the furniture.
- She is picking up hyper genes from, I'm guessing, both of us! Oh no!

Olivia's Baptism

We were in Austin last weekend celebrating Olivia Grace Dickey's Baptism. It was great to meet her and see Becky, John and the rest of the Glomski family.

Olivia in her pretty white dress with Grandpa Harper (I don't know his official name :))

Aren't they a cute family!!

We tried to get a couple pictures of the 3 of us. Maybe we need a tripod at home so these are not so rare.

Ellie LOVED Aunt Sandra's necklace. She really likes jewelry. Uh oh Daddy.

Another highlight from the weekend was going to eat at Salt Lick. The atmosphere was so neat and it was very yummy!

Carol's Baby Shower

Danni (Danielle), Carol (Carolina) and Randy (me) at Carol's baby shower yesterday. We're so happy for Carol and Rob and can't wait to meet Cooper! He should be here in the next 4 weeks!

Watching the Olympics

I couldn't stay up to finish the women's gymnastics last night so Ellie and I watched them this morning. Her latest tricks are pulling up to standing position and waving bye-bye. She can also feed herself Cheerios and rice puffs. Little chunks of fruits and vegetables are still a little too slippery. She is all over the place and I need to do another level of baby-proofing around the house.

This was taken a couple days ago but I wanted to post it anyway :)

Warning: New Blogger

After resisting the blog world, I've started one for the family. Here's a couple pictures to get me started...when I figure out what I'm doing I will post more. Happy reading and viewing!

It was great to see Busha when we were in Austin!

I love this picture! Jason is carrying Ellie's bottle in his back pocket. Bedtime is their special bonding time.

My two favorite people in the world!
Ellie in her July 4th dress. She slept through the fireworks...maybe she'll stay up next year!
